| Interlocks | Door, cover, and access-panel interlocks tied to the laser enable circuit. | Test each interlock state before the first welding trial. |
| Ventilation | Capture hood location, airflow direction, filter stage, and maintenance interval. | Verify capture near the weld point, not only at the fan inlet. |
